Within the scope of the remediation works at Şeytan Creek, which is under the responsibility of DSİ (State Hydraulic Works) 11th Regional Directorate 112th Branch, a 1 km long geosynthetic reinforced retaining wall was constructed on both sides of the stream.

The main consideration in the stream remediation works against floods was to apply the correct engineering solutions without damaging the historical texture. The aesthetic, natural looking earth-colored decorative split face concrete masonry blocks in harmony with the historical texture of the Mimar Sinan Bridge were utilized as facing elements for the walls. The total surface area of 8,500 m2 of geogrid reinforced walls, having a maximum height of 4 m were completed in only 4 months.
